Eric Anderson – the creator and voice of Prosperity Saskatchewan – developed the WISER lecture series for the University of Saskatchewan’s Edwards School of Business and several stand alone events/lectures, and has been the keynote speaker at many events.
It’s all about connecting the dots – pulling together all the economic, mining, energy and industrial news – and making an easy to understand narrative. And it’s not typical – it’s all about “knowledge transfer” done in an entertaining manner.
The perspective is obviously positive – after all it’s “Prosperity Saskatchewan” – but the content is accurate, documented, and independent.
As an example of his past accomplishments, his lecture series – WISER – The World’s Impact on Saskatchewan’s Economy and Resources – was for University of Saskatchewan and SIAST (now SaskPoly) students; in collaboration among the SITO Youth Opportunities Society, the Hanlon Centre for International Business, and Edwards School of Business (University of Saskatchewan), as well as the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy, and Petroleum (CIM) Saskatoon Student Chapter. The WISER series unveiled the numerous global items that impact Saskatchewan’s natural resources sector and thus economy. The events discussed ranged from; supply and demand, to political and social, and even to the natural – acting as direct or indirect determinates of change. Guest speakers with Eric were often featured.
