1965 Saskatchewan Potash Show

In 1965 potash was forecasted to change Saskatchewan’s economy and the first ever “Saskatchewan Potash Show” was held in Saskatoon. Below are scans of the 32-page Star Phoenix supplement created for the event – they provide a glimpse into what potash was doing for the province at that time and what it was expected to do in the future.

I would like to thank Steve Halabura, one of Saskatchewan’s leading resource geologists, for working with me to scan this historical document. Steve is also known as the new “Mr. Potash” given his involvement in potash’s recent resurgence.
