Capital “Fleeing” Canada Due to Carbon Taxes and Regulations

A MUST WATCH (start at 7’40”) FOR ANY CANADIAN CONCERNED ABOUT JOBS AND OUR ECONOMY

Carbon taxes, over regulation and pipeline delays are the reason for the growing exodus of companies from Canada to the US, according to Eric Nuttall of Sprott Energy Fund.

Their capital has already mostly left – 85% is now in the United States, the largest exposure for them in their 14-year history.

Nuttall says the exodus should be like “shocking warning signals to our federal and provincial governments, and yet there just seems to be a total apathy.”

This is why Saskatchewan is opposed to a carbon tax, why we pursue efficient but just as environmentally stringent regulations and why we fight for pipelines.

Please SHARE. We need to change the conversation. We are not reducing emissions in Canada…we are simply leaking good jobs and tax revenues to another country.
